Opening of the VI interregional specialized exhibition "Social support and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. Technical means, technologies, services" was held. This is the first official event of the World Congress of People with Disabilities.
This event is a meeting point for manufacturers and consumers. It has already become traditional for Yekaterinburg. The exhibition is held on the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Sverdlovsk region every two years. Participation in it is accepted by both domestic and foreign manufacturers, as well as medical and rehabilitation centers.
"We gladly accepted the invitation to participate. I wanted to see what is on the Russian market, to show our goods and services. We hope that we will find partners for mutually beneficial cooperation. Our company has been working for ninety five years. We are engaged in prosthetics, manufacturing of orthopedic footwear, medical-bandage products. We have our own treatment and rehabilitation complex with a swimming pool and a gym. We can accept both citizens of Belarus and the Russian Federation", - Deputy General Director for Supply and Distribution of the Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Restorative Center Mr. Kryvolap said. This organization for the first time takes part in the exhibition in Yekaterinburg. Mr. Kryvolap also noted that such meetings are important for the producers themselves: "Experts exchange experience. Seen stimulates us to further development, and this improves the quality of service for the people for which we work".
Also, those who are looking for investors came to the exhibition, as, for example, the inventor from Kamensk-Uralsky Yakov Abramovich Royak. He has more than forty patents for various inventions. The last eleven are aimed at manufacturing rehabilitation equipment. Today he represents a breathing apparatus for the prevention and treatment of strokes, heart attacks, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus of the second type.
Traditional exhibitions of technical means of rehabilitation for people with disabilities are interesting in that one can find out what modern adaptations exist for adapting them to their usual life. They will test demonstration exhibits on themselves, and will give manufacturers valuable advice, for example, regarding ease of use. It turns out a mutually beneficial cooperation.
One more equally interested exhibitors are those who purchase Technical Rehabilitation Equipment to provide them with disabilities. These are rehabilitational institutions, rental offices, social insurance fund.
"Today we clearly demonstrated the equipment, which we saw only from the catalogs. We looked after simulators that we would like to buy for our center. Exhibitions of Rehabilitation Technical Tools help to choose the direction in which rehabilitation organizations should develop in terms of technical equipment", - said Tatyana Onokhova, director of the Regional Rehabilitation Center For Disabled.
In addition to demonstrating the technical means of rehabilitation, an extensive business program is taking place at the exhibition: discussions, master classes, round tables on the problems of forming an accessible environment. This facilitates the exchange of experience in the use of technologies presented by technical means of rehabilitation.
